Former Physician Takes Action in the Face of Alzheimer's

Dr. Dewayne Nash has a family history of Alzheimer’s. He knew he was more likely to get the disease than the general population. But he wasn’t thinking about himself when he volunteered for a study to detect Alzheimer’s as early as possible. What he learned was the devastating news that he was already developing the disease. But even as he retired from 25 years as a family doctor, Dr. Nash still wanted to improve the health of others. The University of Texas Southwestern interviewed Dr. Nash about the work he continues to do with Alzheimer’s patients.
